We built the world of Slick Salve, the Movie for Topicals — As a short film following Rico Nasty and accomplices in a heist to steal the viral Slick Salve lim balm, this project required us to build a series of fully-realized rooms that enriched the narrative.
Each room, the Security Office, Museum, and Exhibition Room—was crafted with a meticulous attention to detail, blending brand aesthetics with storytelling to elevate the viewer’s experience.
Key Services Provided:
Concept Development: Working closely with Topicals, we established the core themes and aesthetic choices for each room, ensuring alignment with the brand's vision.
Multi-Room Set Design and Fabrication: From floor plans to final builds, we created each room from scratch, designing layouts that supported filming requirements and visual storytelling.
Custom Prop Sourcing and Fabrication: We sourced and crafted unique props to fill each space, from functional items in the Security Office to curated pieces in the Exhibition Room that reinforced the museum atmosphere.
Set Dressing and Styling: Styling each room to feel authentic to its purpose, we carefully selected elements that enhanced each scene, using textures, lighting, and color to create a seamless visual flow.
Project Management and On-Site Coordination: Overseeing each stage, we ensured timelines and budgets were met, managing logistics and on-site coordination to facilitate a smooth filming process.
